ONLINE COMMERCIAL TRAINING NOW AVAILABLE
Heliodyne is expanding its series of online training courses with the introduction of the Commercial Solar Hot Water program. Through the use of videos, text and slides, the training series takes the installer through the entire commercial installation process.
Training is broken down into four sections: Pre-Installation & Design, Mechanical Room Component Installation, Roof Component Installation, and Commissioning. Each section includes detailed chapters addressing subject matter specific to that section. After each chapter is viewed, the student has the option to take a quiz recapping what was just learned.
The training program was developed using Heliodyne's 34 years of experience designing commercial solar hot water systems. As a result, no other commercial solar thermal training program has ever been more comprehensive, or provided more real-world insights into all the details that arise from commercial systems.
Taking all the guesswork and trial and error out of designing and installing will save the solar professional thousands of dollars spent on engineering and unnecessary labor costs. As such, the commercial program is an excellent investment for anyone planning to install commercial solar thermal. The course will be available to the public November 15. ENERGY STAR APPROVED SOLAR HOT WATER LIST UPDATED WITH MORE HELIODYNE SYSTEMS
Energy Star has expanded its solar water heating certified list with the addition of more Heliodyne packaged systems. These systems carry the Energy Star certification seal, which automatically qualifies them for several rebate and incentive programs currently available. NOVEMBER SOLAR HOT WATER WORKSHOP
Heliodyne will be hosting a basic solar hot water workshop at its Richmond, CA facilities on Friday, Nov. 19. The day-long training session covers solar hot water technology, system sizing, hands-on installation and much more. The course is normally $99, but for the month of November enrollment has been reduced to $59. Seats are limited. Click here to register.
TRADESHOW RECAP Heliodyne once again exhibited at Solar Power held this year in Los Angeles. With the largest solar hot water booth at the show, visitors got to see firsthand the latest product offerings including the new slim GOBI solar collector and the HCOM commercial heat-transfer appliance. Training manager Bob Cooley was also on hand giving solar hot water installation demos throughout each day of the show.
